Lost or Stolen Debit Card?

Call 1-800-472-3272

If you notice that your debit card is missing, please call 1-800-472-3272 immediately. Then, come by the bank on the next business day to confirm hot card status and order a new card.

Debit Card Use!!

The Lauderdale County Bank strongly discourages the use of debit cards for online purchases. If you are not present to swipe your card, don't use it. By using your card to make online purchases you are greatly increasing your chances of being a fraud victim. Debit card fraud is becoming more and more frequent and can happen to you. If ever you should receive a call or letter requesting your card number, pin or security code NEVER give out that information. It is most likely a scam. Lauderdale County Bank nor any of its associates would ever request such information from you.

Notice of Changes in Temporary FDIC Insurance Coverage for Transaction Accounts

By federal law, as of 1/1/2013, funds in a noninterest-bearing transaction account (including an IOLTA/IOLA) will no longer receive unlimited deposit insurance coverage, but will be FDIC-insured to the legal maximum of $250,000.00 for each ownership catagory.

The term “noninterest-bearing transaction account” includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposits that may earn interest, NOW accounts, money- market deposit accounts, and Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (“IOLTAs”)

For more information about temporary FDIC insurance coverage of transaction accounts and for more information on how to contact FDIC, visit www.fdic.gov.

FDIC now has available an (EDIE) Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator online. EDIE lets consumers and bankers know, on a per-bank basis, how the insurance rules and limits apply to a depositor's specific group of deposit accounts—what's insured and what portion (if any) exceeds coverage limits at that bank. EDIE also allows you to print the report for your records. Click here to access FDIC's Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator.
